Ridwan – The first job I ever got was as a Sales Agent for a telecommunication company in 2018, where I was earning 45,000. I had a small piggy bank where I used to save money after every work outing and I was also able to save into my bank account as well

Mosun – My first job was in 2017, a year after secondary school as a front desk at a Laundromat. I was earning 18,000 per month and it was within walking distance of my house so there was no need to pay for transportation. I managed to save 10,000 monthly from the job

Ochuko – I started my first job in Lagos in 2019. I was a factory worker and I earned #1,500 per day. I was able to save a reasonable amount from this job

Ono – I was a Tipper Driver at my first job. Even though there was no fixed amount on how much I could earn, I made an average of ₦15000 per week and was also able to save from this job

Joel – My first job was as a Sales Representative in 2015. I was paid 8000 monthly and I saved from it.

Catherine – My first job was as a French translator. It was a contract role and I made about 400,000 naira from the project. I did not save from this job because there were a lot of bills that needed to be sorted but I started to save when I landed my next job

Ovie – My first job was at a TV station in 2016. I was earning 34,000 naira every month but I could not save from it. The cost of transportation from Abule-egba to Alausa every day took more than half of my salary.

Michael – My first job was at a poultry in 2017 where I was earning 60,000 naira a month. Even though I was able to save from the job, the money has been used for a lot of things.

Angela – “The first job I did was in 2019 during my service year. I was earning 19,000 and when I finished, I started to earn 33,000. But in all, I could only save 50k.” 😆

I wasn’t able to save any because everything, and more, went to transportation.

Kobi – “I worked at a petrol station as a pump attendant and I was paid 15k monthly ( on shifts). I later resigned after 6 months with a savings of 80k. (I also earned extra cash during my shifts)”
