Let’s meet you (Your name, what you do and where you are from)

My name is Fadojutimi Omololola Olajoke, I am the Founder of Mimee Clothing- the home of quality and affordable men’s wears such as kaftan, agbada, danshiki, etc. I am a native of Ondo town in Ondo State, Nigeria. I currently reside in Osogbo, the Capital of Osun State, where I carry out my business activities.

How long have you been doing this?

5 years

What inspired you to go into business?

My love for fashion and undying love for creativity and stylings motivated me to venture into my current business.

What are the challenges you face as a young entrepreneur?

Finance was a major challenge I had when I started the business. Also, the fact that I am a female making male wears. I had to do a lot of work convincing people and that wasn’t an easy thing to do when I just started out- especially since I had few samples to show at that time.

What was your highest and lowest point since you started this journey?

My highest was when I shipped over 100 danshiki to a client abroad. The person has a store. She got that large number from me and sold to her customers over there.

My lowest moment was when I had to stop working from home because I didn’t like the fact that different men were coming to my house to get their clothes. So, I got a shop in a local area in Osogbo because I couldn’t afford a decent place as at that time.

What do you aim to achieve in the next 12 months in relation to your business?

I want to expand my brand to become a household name in Nigeria. I also look forward to collaborating with local and international brands.

What are your short and long-term goals?

-Short Term

Expanding Mimee Clothing to the level where majority of the homes around my area can boast of one or two designs from us.

-Long term

Having Mimee Clothing as a platform that empowers young women through its fashion academy.

Which individuals do you get inspiration from and why?

Seyi Vodi- His designs are unique. Also, the fact that he started small, and has been in the fashion business for over a decade inspires me greatly.

How do you unwind?

I hang out with my friends.

What advice would you give your fellow Flexxers who are on this path?

Consistency is very important.

What are your social media handles?

Instagram : @Mimee_clothing

Twitter : @Mimee_Clothing

Anything else you’d like us to know about you?

I am a fun-loving person.
