The Black Entertainment Television popularly known as BET awards is an international award ceremony that celebrates achievements in entertainment and honors music, sports, television, and movies in the year and the 2017 edition was held on the 25th of June in Los Angeles.

Wizkid bested top acts like Davido, Mr Eazi, Tekno, South Africa’s AKA, Nasty C, Babes Wodumo and Ghana’s Stonebwoy to bring home the coveted Best International Act, Africa prize.

This is not the first time Wizkid is winning this award, he won it in 2012 with Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie.
