Following the strike embarked upon by staff of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology which has brought academic activities in the institution to a halt; LAUTECH students organised peaceful protests at all access points of the school effectively blocking entry into the institution today.
After hours of cries and chanting that LAUTECH be reopened for academic activities, the institution’s committee of Deans came out to address them promising that the state governments have been fully briefed on the situation and will be meeting with the VC, Committee of Provost and the Deans to discuss and arrive at a solution tomorrow.
We are keeping our fingers crossed and hope a favourable solution is proffered tomorrow.
