As a young Flexxer starting out life in the workplace it is important to know that there is no “I” in teamwork. When you work with people, you’re working with a team and great teamwork is very essential in getting the right business outcomes.
- It improves synergy: Synergy is very important in the workplace, and teamwork provides that. Without working as a team, it’s hard to synergize.
- It creates a smooth structure: Teamwork strengthens the structure of a workplace. Those you work with should feel free to approach you for advice or support getting tasks done and you should also be able to lean on others when needed.
- It creates flexibility: A rigid workplace is no good for anyone, especially where people feel like they cannot express their opinions because the boss is running a one-man show.
- It increases the chances of problem solving: It’s more likely that problems will better get solved through teamwork than alone within the organization.
- It allows for productivity: A boss should not act like a boss, but a team leader, if he wants to be productive at all.
