Written by American, John Gray, this book from a psychologist’s point of view, talks about the essential differences between a man and a woman. It answers the deep questions of why women behave the way they do and why men are wired as such. The author is also a relationship counsellor and has a degree in meditation. The book could help you understand your male/female counterparts.
4. How to win friends and influence people
It is a self-help book written by Dale Carnegie and published in 1936. According to Wikipedia, in 2011, it was number 19 on Time Magazine’s list of the 100 most influential books. The book still holds water even to this day. As the name implies, the book teaches you how to network and be influential around people.

5. 5 love languages
Life isn’t just all about business and finances, and Gary Chapman tried to prove that in his book by listing and expounding on the five love languages. Which are words of affirmation, quality time, giving gifts, acts of service and physical touch? Read this book and understand yours and your partner’s love language.
6. The 4 temperaments
A book by Randy Rolfe. It gives a deep insight into the four temperaments, namely melancholic, choleric, sanguine, and phlegmatic. This book will help you understand your personality and that of others, teaching you how to relate with other people.
7. The Bible/Quran/Other religious books
For a peaceful state of mind and the need to believe in someone or something, delving into your religion and reading it’s holy books can help you keep hope alive and stay spiritual.
8. Novels
Select one good novel from any genre like thriller, suspense, gospel, mystery, science fiction, historical and the like.
