5 social functions to attend on campus

A university is a place of academic learning, but it is also important to note that it is also a place of self-discovery where students come to find themselves and meet other creative and interesting people.

Don’t make the mistake of confining yourself to the classroom. Here are some cool social functions to attend on campus:

1. Inaugural lectures

These are ceremonies held for conferred Professors. People in the academic environment, dignitaries and the general public are invited to be part of it. It’s an exciting opportunity to meet elites in society as well as form a bond with lecturers.

2. Pageantries

Oh! They are fun! There are girls in their evening gowns parading back and forth, and guys flexing muscles and showing how manly they are. Students come together to cheer them on as they contest for the Mister and Miss of their departments, faculties or school. You really should catch the fun.
