Getting a haircut should be pretty simple, right? -You walk in, wait for your turn, get on the barber’s chair, tell him or her what you want and wait for them to work their magic. Well, it doesn’t always work that way, as there are some hilarious and sometimes, frustrating experiences that could take place.
Which of them are you familiar with?
When you walk in and your favourite barber isn’t around
This can be very frustrating, especially when you need to get a haircut ASAP. You either have to patronize the other available barber(s) or go home.
When your favourite barber is busy but another barber is free
This is one tough situation. The other barber glances at you or calls you but you can’t take the risk of entrusting your hair into his hands, so you sit awkwardly, waiting for your favourite barber to get done while feeling like a bad person.

When the barber keeps getting distracted while cutting your hair
He’s either watching the football match on the TV, arguing with another barber, chatting with a customer or stopping to dance to the music playing and you just want to yell ‘Oga, cut this hair na!’ before they mess your hairline up.
When the barber doesn’t listen to your instructions
You tell him to trim your beard and he cuts it. You tell him to take your hair a bit lower and he almost makes you bald. Tell him not to touch your moustache and he shaves it. We’ve all experienced this, haven’t we?
When the barber takes your hairline a few inches back
You’re already trying to salvage your receding hairline but your barber decides to set you back (no pun intended)
When the barber applies aftershave spray to your hair
Even though the tingling sensation of the aftershave spray is pretty sharp, you have to act like a ‘hard guy’, so you keep it cool.
When you cheat on your barber and it goes wrong
You decide to switch things up and try out a new barber because your current one is ‘raising shoulder too much’. The new barber does an atrocious job and you have to humbly return to your usual barber like a prodigal customer.
When you can feel the barber ripping through your skin
It almost feels like the barber is testing the sharpness of the clipper blades by scraping and slicing through your skin when giving you a line-up or fade.
When the barber actually gives you a sweet haircut
A good haircut can improve your confidence, elevate your mood and take your style game to a 100. Shoutout to all the barbers who actually know their game.
