2. Basket mouth

Bright Okpocha, better known by his stage name Basketmouth, is well known for his comedy and series. Over the years, he has held ‘Basketmouth Uncensored’ which has always been a success with a lot of positive reviews. Basketmouth, who is also an actor, is a lead actor in the Africa Magic comedy show ‘My Flatmates’ which is still running till date.

3. Bovi

Who remembers “Extended Family”? Anyone who followed the series when it aired would know that Bovi was destined for success as a comedian. Abovi Ugboma popularly known as Bovi is a Nigerian comedian, producer, director, actor and writer. He has also secured several brand endorsements over the years.

4. AY

What can one say about Ayo Makun? He has earned his place as one of Nigeria’s biggest comedic exports with his annual comedy and music concert, ‘AY Live’. Also, his blockbuster comedy films such as ’10 Days in Sun City’, ’10 days in Atlanta’ and the ‘Merry Men’ Series, all of which he produced and starred in.

5. Seyi Law

Lawrence Oluwaseyitan Aletile, popularly known as Seyi Law, was the winner of AY’s Open Mic Comedy Challenge back in 2006. Since then, he has risen to become one of the top comedians in Nigeria. He is known for his incredible stand-up comedy, his annual show ‘Fast and Funny’, as well as his hilarious movie appearances.

Onyebuchi Ojieh is a stand-up comedian, writer, composer, among other things. 9. UshBebe

You’d catch him being hilarious in the old ‘AY Crib’ sitcom. This Urhobo guy, Justice Emonaerere Nuagbe is one of Nigeria’s biggest comedic acts with appearances in movies such as ‘The Big Fat Lie’ and ‘Ghetto Bred’. He also helms his own successful annual; comedy show, ‘The Chronicles of Ushbebe’. He is also a compere and On-Air Personality.
