Ten Types of People During The Lockdown

Who would have thought that a time would come when everyone would have a curfew- both old and young? If you live in Lagos, Ogun or Abuja, you’re most likely on lockdown (unless you’re a truant looking to get arrested). While this lockdown seems like a wild social experiment directed by Stuart Hazeldine, it’s a super important activity that could help to contain the COVID-19 pandemic.

Situations like this tend to affect people in different ways, so here are ten different types of people during this lockdown:

The Unbothered Introvert

People like this love being alone anyway, so this is pretty breezy for them coupled with the fact that they don’t have to make up excuses to avoid leaving their beds this time.

The Bothered Introvert

He/ she would probably be enjoying this lockdown if they didn’t have to spend it sharing the same space and breathing the same air with other people.

The Masterchef

People like this have been waiting for an opportunity to flex their culinary skills by whipping up some meals in the kitchen. If you have someone like this in your house, chances are they’re treating you to a five-star excellent dining experience every day. (Unless they suck at cooking and are oblivious to it, in which case: OUCH)

The Workaholic

They’re glued to their screens for hours, typing away on their keyboards, examining spreadsheets, making presentations and managing their teams remotely. Somehow, their productivity levels haven’t dwindled.

The Gym Junkie

Lockdown isn’t going to stop these from keeping fit and working those muscles. They get in their full gear, work out every day and go on Twitter to brag about how they’re still keeping healthy despite the lockdown and ‘what’s your excuse?’. Show-offs.

The Foodies

They’ve got a stash of isolation snacks at their disposal, to keep their mouths busy and keep them well-fed. Honestly, you can’t blame them, can you? If you’re going to be locked in, you might as well have some comfort food.

The Cinephiles

They’re ticking off movies and TV shows off their watchlist with each passing day. They’ve watched almost every new movie or TV show on Netflix, and they’ve probably got a hard drive filled with more watchable stuff. Binge on, y’all.

The Gamers

They’ve been promising to trash their friends at FIFA or Red Dead Redemption, and now that they’re less busy, they’ve taken the time to do just that.

The New Influencers

They’ve decided to create their own YouTube channels to create content during this period. From make-up to ASMR to lifestyle tips and more, they’re determined to become top influencers by the time this is over.

The Romantics

To them, this lockdown is the perfect plot and backdrop for their love story. There is a deadly pandemic and a general feeling of panic, but they believe their love will conquer all and stand the test of time.
