1. SEO
It means Search Engine Optimization. SEO shoots up the amount of traffic to a website by increasing the visibility of the website or web page to users of a web search engine. It basically creates awareness and makes your company rank high on the list when a search engine is used. For example, If you make shoes, your SEO will be ‘Designer shoes’, ‘Shoes made in Nigeria’, etc. We optimize our search engines through google, yahoo and the like.
2. Google Ads
It was formerly called Google Adwords up until July 24th 2018. Google Ad is an online advertising platform developed by Google, where advertisers pay to display brief advertisements, service offerings, product listings and video content.
3. GDN
Google Display Network. With the Display Network, targeting can be used to show your ads in specific contexts. For example, you can streamline ‘interior decor’ to attract audiences where ‘young couples’, newlyweds’, etc, are located online.

4. KPI
It is short for Key Performances Indicator. It is not only used on the internet but can also be used in evaluating staff performance at an organization. Setting KPIs allows the team to make smart business decisions on the direction of all current projects. On the internet, however, it evaluates the growth of a social media page. E.g., how many likes did a post get? How many followers were gained? Etc.
5. HTML
Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) is the standard markup language for documents intended for display in a web browser. This markup tells a web browser how to display text, images and other forms of multimedia on a webpage.
6. HTTP
It means HyperText Transfer Protocol. When opening a website, you’d notice it pop up. HTTP is the underlying protocol used by the World Wide Web. This protocol defines the formatting and transmission of messages and what actions web servers and browsers should take in response to various commands.
7. URL
The URL is a Uniform Resource Locator. We use it all the time. You might find that you can receive additional entries for sharing a URL via social media. When you want to go to a website, it’s the text you type into your internet browser. In its most common form, a URL starts with “https://” followed by “www,” then the website name.
