’Tis the season to be jolly and vigilant about possible fraud attempts on your account. The holiday season is a prime time for fraudsters, so beware of suspicious emails and offers that seem too good to be true.
Remember these important tips:
- Don’t click on links or open attachments in an email that’s unfamiliar to you, even where the sender seems familiar, be very cautious before taking any action.
- Never give out your sensitive account details; such as your PIN, OTPs, CVV and ATM Card number. FCMB will never request such information from you via call, SMS or email.
- As you shop online this coming Black Friday and during the festive season, ensure you only use your FCMB debit or credit card on secure websites. Look out for “https” or the padlock icon in your web browser.
