2017 was a good year for new acts in the Nigerian industry, with hits coming from various genres of music. 2018 is also looking like a very prospective year for new music artistes, here is a list of Nigerian artistes to be on the look out for this year.
- Dice Ailes
Since releasing his hit track ‘Otedola’, Shasha Damilola, popularly known as Diles Ailes has been under the radar for big prospects this year. We expect more hits from him this year.
2. Nonso Amadi
This superstar has been undeniably consistent in 2017, he dropped his second EP album and had his own concert, which had a pretty solid turn out, he also performed in the record breaking Davido 30 billion concert. We expect so much more from Nonso this 2018
3. Temmie Ovwasa
The one and only YNBL princess. After being M.I.A for a while, Temmie Ovwasa dropped a hit single ‘Bamidele’ in 2017 that made her fans only crave for more. Temmie is at the heart of her record label, and we only hope for and expect more this 2018.
4. Teni the entertainer
One of the fast rising stars in the Nigerian music industry, Teni the entertainer had an awesome 2017. She started her career journey in 2016 after she signed with Magic fingers records, with hit songs like ‘Fargin’ and ‘Boluwatife’, 2018 is looking a solid year for her.
5. Efe Osaka
Efe Oraka, popularly known as Efe can sing, became an internet sensation when she did a mashup cover of Jon Bellion’s ‘The human condition’ album. Efe is growing her music brand and we hope that she wows us this year.
6. Bella Alubo
The singer and dancer released a single ‘gimmie love’ that was well accepted into the Nigerian market, as a rising star that she is, we hope to see more of Bella this year.
7. Odunsi
Odunsi is Young and talented artiste, he released his first E.P in 2016 and his works have been popular on various platforms like soundcloud, apple music, MTV base…
8. Wavy the creator
She’s has unique personality and good vibe to her music, Wavy the creator. With hits like Lekki express way, Stay and H.I.G.H we have a lot to look forward with her.
9. Davina Oriakhi
An R&B artist with raw talent, Davina is a rising superstar that just can’t be missed by Nigerians. She released her debut album last year. She had a busy 2017 and we are keeping our fingers crossed for more this year.
10. Jinmi Abdul
Jinmi Abdul has a really bright future in Nigerian industry, with a fast growing fan base, a performance at the record breaking 30 billion concert and an EP ‘Jinmi of Lagos’ that was released last year, we are looking at 2018 as a flourishing year for the young star.
