Inspiring Young Women In Tech To Follow

They’re young, smart and making strides in a largely male-dominated industry. Therefore, it is only right that we give them their flowers. In no particular order, these are some women in tech who are paving the way for gender parity in the industry and we think they should be on your radar as well if you’re in tech or considering a career in tech.

Odun Eweniyi. Co-founder and COO of Piggyvest Nigeria and Co-founder, FirstCheck Africa, Odun is a tech entrepreneur who is passionate about helping women achieve greatness through technology.

Ada Nduka Oyom. Ada is the founder of She codes Africa; an NGO that helps females in Africa gain tech skills and expertise. She is also a Developer Relations and Community Expert at Google. She shares relatable content via her TikTok and industry knowledge and expertise on her LinkedIn.

Seun Runsewe. Seun is the Lead Product Manager at Chipper Cash Africa. She ventured into tech to help grow businesses focused on improving payments and expanding Nigeria’s digital economy. She was the former business lead at Paystack, former director of product at Opay, VP, Growth at Softcom, and management consultant at KPMG

Ibukun Akinnawo. With over 6 years of experience in the FinTech industry with companies like Paystack, Kuda Bank, etc, Ibukun has successfully built her leadership background and is currently the Launch Lead at PawaPay. With her passion for making people and processes work better, she Co-founded Independent PA, a virtual assistant agency that supports C-level executives. She is passionate about women getting into tech.

Dami Odufuwa. Damilola Odufuwa is a tech executive, and the CEO of Backdrop, an app and social network that allows people to find, visit and share aesthetically pleasing locations around the world. An advocate for women’s rights, she is also the Co-founder of the Feminist Coalition- a cause that champions equality for women in Nigerian society with a focus on representation in public office,  education, and financial freedom and also leads the PR&Comms team at Binance

Tobi Ayeni. You may know her as Miss Techy but Tobi Ayeni is one whose aim is to change the way people view tech as she enlightens and educates her audience through engaging and captivating video content.
