The Flexxer’s Guide To Safe Voting

The Flexxer’s Guide To Safe Voting

So, you’ve secured your PVC and located your polling unit and in a couple of weeks, you will be headed to the polls to elect new leaders right? Well, for some of us, this would mean a new experience as it would be our first time ever voting. However, whether this is your first time voting or you’re already familiar with this democratic exercise, these are some important things to note when you head out to exercise your civic duty

Avoid partisan discussions. Regardless of the party/candidate that you support, it is smart to avoid partisan discussions at your polling units. This is to ensure heated conversations are not brought up, friction is avoided and orderliness is maintained.

Take Note of Covid-19 Precautions. With a new strain/variant discovered last year, it is evident that Covid-19 is still very much around. As much as you can, practice social distancing, wear a mask and sanitize regularly.

Protect yourself from the sun. It may be possible that you will be staying in the queue for long hours so protect yourself from the harsh sun condition by wearing a hat/face cap, carry an umbrella and more importantly, use sunscreen

Carry a piece of entertainment. Don’t forget to go along with a book, AirPods to listen to a podcast/music, or stream a movie while you wait in line

Be a good Flexx citizen and share this with others 😊
