It is the third week in the Big Brother house ‘shine your eye’ season. In case you are like most people who are busy with work and school and would still like to keep up with how the reality TV drama is going down, then you are in luck.
As usual, the show started on a low-key, all lovey-dovey to one another as it is expected from people who were just meeting and trying to be nice to each other. It didn’t take too long for drama kings and queens to start emerging though.
Here’s what has been happening so far:
The first eviction took place on Sunday
The first housemate to be evicted was Yerins the polymath, followed by Niyi and Beatrice on Sunday 8th August 2021. It was an emotional night for the evicted housemates.
Surprise, surprise…four new housemates arrive
As if the wildcard (Maria and Pere) drama was not enough, Biggie decided to add 4 new housemates(Michael, JMK, Kayvee and Queen), bringing the current number to 23.
Angel accuses Sammie of slut-shaming her
That ship has been shaking from the onset and with this latest quarrel, it looks like the ship is now complete wreckage. Sammie got jealous that Angel kissed Michael during the truth and dare game. Then, in trying to talk to him, they started exchanging hurtful words.
Maria walks out on Queen
Barely two days old in the house, Queen already quarrelled with Maria. Queen tried to converse with Maria about her behaviour when Whitemoney was explaining how ‘strategic’ Pere was and she, Queen had affirmed that the statement was true.
Her pain was that Maria had no right to say that two days wasn’t enough for her to know Pere. Maria walked out on their conversation when Queen began shouting, which resulted in a further exchange of insults.
The house is in a military regime under Pere
Pere is the third housemate to become Head of House and he has been demanding respect and making statements like ‘Have I made myself clear?’ Many fans have had something to say about his leadership.

Gbolahan Olalade is a 26-year-old photographer who resides in Lagos.
Queen
Queen Mercy Atang is a former beauty queen, philanthropist and aspiring politician. She is 26 years old from Akwa Ibom.
