The last of the ‘Ember months’ is here and scammers are on the prowl. Don’t be a victim of their scheme.
Here are a few pointers to keep you safe this festive season:
- Never, for any reason, share sensitive personal information, such as card PIN, OTPs and passwords with anyone via calls, SMS, Email, etc.
- Be careful about offers that seem too good to be true.
- Shop only on sites with secure connections. Look out for the padlock icon or ” https” on web browser address bar.
- Beware of fraudulent offers or giveaways allegedly by FCMB. Details of all FCMB promos and giveaways are shown on our social pages.
- Avoid using ATMs late at night or in isolated areas.
- Stay alert while transacting at the ATM. Be wary of fraudsters posing as helpers.
- Block lost or stolen cards immediately.
