By Their Books, You Shall Know Them

Isn’t it amazing how you can discern a person just by the kind of books they read? We have the ‘Jacks’-they read everything and anything that comes their way, thereby making it difficult to deduce anything other than they are ‘Jacks of all trades’.

But then, we have another kind of people, the ones who stick to the status quo and do not deviate from their chosen genre. Can you understand his/her personality just by the books he or she reads?

Let’s find out, shall we?

1. School Courses

Let us begin with the obvious one. A student who reads his/her books based on the courses they’re studying is interested in passing their exams with flying colours. That is their sole mission and are not swayed by other books.

2. Novels(Fairytale)

They are romantics. With them, everything happens for a reason. Plus, they can wait a long time for their prince charming or Cinderella to come by.

3. Finance Books

Do you have a course mate or colleague who is either reading ‘ The richest Man in Babylon’, ‘Rich Dad Poor Dad’, ‘Smart Money Woman’ or some other money-related content? Then, what you have is an ambitious fellow. Where you cannot determine whether they will succeed in business or career, you can tell that they will give wealth all they got.

5. Spiritual books

They are religious. They read and pray. Then read some more.

6. Fictions

Sometimes the stories are based on real-life events spiced up with fictitious drama and flair. Other times, the entire story is entirely made up. This is what the reader finds intriguing. From thriller to suspense, it is the ability to create something from nothing. Hence, fiction readers can be called creative.

7. Non-fiction

They are very realistic. If it’s black, then it’s black. You don’t feed them cock and bull stories or fairy tales. They work with what is placed before them.

8. Self-helps

They are willing to get advice to advance themselves in all areas of their life. It could be a cookery book, learning one’s personality, how to manage time, and so on.

There you have it. Do note that this is not entirely enough to know a person. It’s just one of the many ways, and sometimes, it’s not always accurate. But it can be pretty impressive.
