Also ‘Roll It’ which was very popular amongst choreographers, ‘No One Like U’ (a major wedding song) and ‘Ifunanya’, the sonorous love song that had us ‘in our feelings’.

2. Asa- Asa (2007)
In 2007, Asa made a quiet re-entry to the music industry with a new album. With masterfully crafted songs, touching themes ranging from societal ills to love, heartbreak and more. Asa had us caught in all kinds of emotions, singing along at the top of our voices.
Hits like ‘Jailer’, ‘Bibanke’, ‘Fire on The Mountain’, ‘360’ and many others help cement Asa’s place in her hearts.
3. Wande Coal- Mushin 2 Mohits (2009)
This is one album that had us busting out our best moves one minute and singing the other. It was packed with hits like ‘Bumper to Bumper’, ‘You Bad’ and ‘Ololufe’, to mention a few.

4. Styl Plus – Expressions (2006)
Style Plus had an incredible way of making amazing romantic songs; songs like ‘Olufunmi’ and ‘Imagine That’ that had you us in our feelings and hitting the dancefloor at the same time.
‘Call My Name’ and ‘Run Away’ were emotional ballads that had us reminiscing about relationships we had probably never even been in and ‘Iya Basira’ was a mixture of humour and great storytelling. This album is filled with so many nostalgic tunes.
5. 2 Face – Grass 2 Grace (2006)
Following his Plantashun Boiz’s split and the release of his critically acclaimed debut album, 2Face released ‘Grass 2 Grace’, a widely successful album that paved the way for many other Nigerian artistes. This album was a bouquet of hits and club bangers like ‘4 Instance’, ‘If Love Is A Crime’, the controversial ‘See Me So’, ‘E Be Like Say’, ‘True Love’ and many others.
This album was on everyone’s radar and DJs had this album on repeat at every rave and party. It sold over a million copies in its first week and won 2Face numerous awards. What can we say? 2Face is a legend.
