Some folks get confused when asked this dreaded question; “Tell me about yourself?”. This is, in most cases, because they are not well prepared for it or simply don’t have the required knowledge of how to answer it. If you are asked this question at an interview or on your first day at work, you can respond with pointers below:
Let your Personality show
Your personality begins to show the moment you begin talking. So, you should courteously and confidently talk about what you have done and where you are currently. While you’re talking, you need to have it at the back of your mind that there are no right or wrong answers; and the interviewers are observing your tone and mood.

Highlight your Qualifications
Briefly summarize your academic and professional (if any) qualifications, and tell how you feel about them. Do not recite your resume, instead have a flow of the qualifications relevant to the position you’re applying for.
Talk about the good things you learned
Following your experience at your previous organization, include the things you learned at the places you worked and how it has helped improve your skills. No matter how short the time spent was or the reasons you left, never say anything negative about where you worked previously.
