World CleanUp Day

It’s world cleanup day!

Do you know that every September 15, nations, organizations and individuals alike join forces to keep the environment clean and safe? Yes, the global community tries to reinforce the importance of being clean and maintaining a sustainable environment with the World CleanUp Day initiative.

#WorldCleanUpDay is not only to raise global awareness and leave a lasting impression in the minds of millions of people across the globe; it is to stand up against the global waste epidemic, one street at a time, which can be done by cleaning up the roads, gutters, parks, canals, and walkways.

The #WorldCleanup Day is organized by a civic-led mass movement Let’s Do It World! It was born 10 years ago (2008) in Estonia when 50 000 people cleaned up the entire country in just five hours. Since then, the action model ’One country in one day’, has spread around the world, creating one of the fastest-growing grass root movements in history.
