We announced here yesterday that Grammy had released their nominations list 59th award ceremony but little did we know our very own Faridah Demola Seriki whose stage name is Kah-Lo also got nominated for a song she was featured in; Rinse and Repeat by Riton feat Kah-Lo.
“Rinse & Repeat” was nominated for Best Dance Recording alongside other popular songs like “Tearing Me Up” by Bob Moses; “Never Be Like You” by Flume and The Chainsmokers, and “Drinkee.” by Sofi Tukker.
Kah-Lo is the daughter of former Minister of Defence and Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, Chief Demola Seriki. She is a broadcast journalism graduate from Hofstra University in the USA.
Rinse and Repeat was released this year and has been streamed 5 million times on Spotify and played 1.5 million times on YouTube in less than a month after its release.
Our starboy Wizkid wasn’t left out in the nominations as he clinched two nominations for featuring in and co-producing “One dance” in Drake’s album “Views”. Views was nominated for Album of the Year and Best Rap Album categories.
We wish them both Goodluck!
