This Nigerian just got nominated for Grammys and we’re thrilled with excitement

We announced here yesterday that Grammy had released their nominations list 59th award ceremony but little did we know our very own Faridah Demola Seriki whose stage name is Kah-Lo also got nominated for a song she was featured in; Rinse and Repeat by Riton feat Kah-Lo.

“Rinse & Repeat” was nominated for Best Dance Recording alongside other popular songs like “Tearing Me Up” by Bob Moses;  “Never Be Like You” by Flume and The Chainsmokers, and “Drinkee.” by  Sofi Tukker.

Kah-Lo is the daughter of former Minister of Defence and Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, Chief Demola Seriki. She is a broadcast journalism graduate from Hofstra University in the USA.

Rinse and Repeat was released this year and has been streamed 5 million times on Spotify and played 1.5 million times on YouTube in less than a month after its release.

Our starboy Wizkid wasn’t left out in the nominations as he clinched two nominations for featuring in and co-producing “One dance” in Drake’s album “Views”.  Views was  nominated for Album of the Year and Best Rap Album categories.
