Sitting at home for over two weeks is not beans. But we can say it has had its benefits too. Your skin, for example, has had time to heal and revert to its normal state and complexion, without having to deal with the harsh element outside that contributes to dead skin.
It has given you time to relax (hopefully, you weren’t panicking over the pandemic), thereby rejuvenating you and alleviating stress. There is still time to get that skin glow you desire, as long as you can accomplish these basic skincare routines.
1. Drink Water
Staying hydrated does wonders for your skin. Lack of hydration makes your complexion dull and even accentuates wrinkles, says Jeanine Downie, M.D., a dermatologist at Image Dermatology in Montclair, New Jersey.
2. More Sleep
With an opportunity to work from home, there has been ample time to sleep. Imagine all that time you spend in traffic? Whoosh! Now you can boast of 8 hours sleep.
3. Little or no stress
It is that simple, no magic wand or superb product needed. You relax and let your body rest and glow naturally.

4. Eating Healthy
No room for roadside puff puff and fatty food. Now you can eat home-made healthy meals that help keep your skin healthy and glowing. GH Nutrition Director Jaclyn London advises we eat food rich in nuts, which we have an abundance like walnuts, groundnut, tiger nuts, etc.
5. Exfoliate your skin
This means to remove the skin’s outer layer of dead cells, so its surface is smoother and clearer and reflects light. This is one sure way to get your skin to glow. You can apply a physical exfoliant like face scrub, once or twice a week. Do not overdo it. We do not want you peeling off excellent and healthy skin. If you have dry skin, it is advisable to use it only once per week.
6. Cleansing
The fact that you’ve been staying at home doesn’t mean you should not bath or clean up. Wash your face twice a day. You should use a good facial cleanser that can thoroughly remove debris like dirt.
7. Use Moisturizers
Shimmery lotions can boost your glow. The primary function of moisturizers is to help treat your skin when it’s dry and prevent it from drying out again.
