People often get exhausted when encumbered with lots of activities and this could lead to stress. However, emotional and mental stress can come due to overthinking and being worrisome. Check out these signs to know if you are mentally or emotionally exhausted and how you can get over it:
- You can’t sleep: This is a quite common trait, as you lose sleep when your mind is not at rest. Drink some water and try some breathing exercises to feel better.
- You feel detached: You feel disinterested in most activities and rarely want to communicate or participate at work or school.
- Small things upset you: Your crankiness goes to a whole new level.
- You lack motivation: You notice that you no longer have the zeal to do things. Note that this is very different from being lazy.
- You get easily irritated: During this times, you notice you have a short fuse and can easily get irritated or upset.
- You feel dizzy and nauseous: Coupled with lack of sleep, tiredness and dizziness follow.
- You feel an urge to cry: Little things can cause you to burst into tears or make you very emotional.

- Get active
- Get distracted by something you love
- Go out and meet people (socialize)
- Change of scenery
