Davido wins BET award for best international act

David Adeleke, AKA Davido put Nigeria on the spotlight this weekend, he was one of the big winners at the 2018 BET award (Black Entertainment Television), an award recognising black men and women for their talent and achievements, it was founded in 1979 and has been up and running ever since.
Davido won the award for Best International Act, beating the likes of Tiwa Savage and Skepta to it. Davido, without doubt, has been a very prominent figure in the international music in the past years, he has released bangers on bangers.
The award was presented to him by ‘Power’ star Omari Hardwick, after receiving his award, Davido took some time to send his condolences to D’banj for the loss of his son, he gave a shout out to Wale, the Nigerian American singer. Davido then praised Africa, his motherland, he talked about how Africa is blessed with gifts and a beautiful culture and that more international stars should visit Africa and enjoy everything in it.
He mentioned that his album was going to be dropping his album this year. (We can’t wait) The most exciting part of his speech was when he said “we should all collaborate” and do more music together.
