Our post on what Nigerians do during the Christmas holidays has traveling as one of the top things Nigerians do during the holidays.
We know a lot of our Flexxers have either travelled or are traveling to and from the holidays very soon, we have some tips that might come in handy.
- Make plans before, avoid last minute ticket purchases: Everything becomes more expensive once the festivities approaches so get your flight/bus tickets way ahead of the holiday to avoid overspending.
- Pool resources with friends and family members to save money: Share taxis and cabs with friends and families who are also traveling, you can even ride along with a friend who’s coming to get picked up.
- Do not eat food that will mess up your tummy before traveling: You don’t want to be rushing from toilet to seat on a flight believe me and it’s even worse on road trips; impatient drivers, lack proper convenience etc.
- Watch what you buy on the road: Some food items being sold on the road might be spoilt or expired, so take time to check the products well before consuming or pay for it.
- Keep someone updated on your whereabouts at all times and always go around with necessary IDs and credentials.
- Carry only what you need: More luggage means spending more money and more stress of transporting them around so carry only what you need, you’re still coming back home.
You do not want to be this person, trust us.
